Virgin Mega TV joins SeeSaw

SAN FRANCISCO — SeeSaw Networks today announced the Virgin Megastore Network as a new network affiliate. The store’s “Virgin Mega TV” channel, a network of more than 400 digital displays operated by eVision Networks, provides advertisers with in-store access to on-the-go, young, affluent consumers on the path to purchase at 10 stores in critical national markets.

Virgin Mega TV, the cutting-edge video network in Virgin Megastores nationwide, includes 40-70 large plasma screens per store, which are geared to the affluent 18-44 year old demographic. The screens are used to promote the latest movies, music releases, books and electronics while also enabling customers to interact with the network via mobile phones and the Internet. With the network’s new partnership with SeeSaw, advertisers will now be able to leverage the screens to reach more than 2.6 million entertainment and pop culture-conscious consumers each month.

Virgin Mega TV provides a “sticky” environment for digital video advertising by leveraging user-generated content submitted online by consumers to run on the Virgin network. By enabling shoppers to interact with and contribute to the network, Virgin provides advertisers with a unique opportunity to drive brand messages to a tuned-in audience of tech-savvy, entertainment-oriented shoppers.
