U.K.'s Harrogate International Centre chooses Digital Media Projects for conference

LEEDS, U.K. — The Harrogate International Centre has announced that it used Leeds-based Digital Media Projects to provide live video and digital signage for the two-day Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) conference. The Harrogate International team used DMP’s Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) system to broadcast prerecorded and live show content to digital signs located in key areas around the exhibition halls and conference centre. The Centre was able to leverage its existing Cisco data network to allow for transmission and allowed multiple live feeds from keynote speeches and presentations to be broadcast around the site in real time.

“We needed a system that would allow us to distribute high-quality TV, video, promotional material and digital signage around the venue quickly and easily,” said Harrogate International Centre’s ICT manager Kevin Mchugh. “Because it uses IP, we were able to deploy it using the existing Cisco data network, which saved us a significant amount in cabling costs.”
