BRACKNELL, U.K. — An innovative game concept has been introduced to the casino gaming and amusement sector with the development of the Fun4Four gambling table from TAB-Austria. The table incorporates a 42-inch MicroTouch System Dispersive Signal Technology (DST) 2270DX touch screen from diversified technology company 3M, allowing fast and reliable touch response for a simultaneous four-player experience. The new concept presents a significant return on investment for casino or arcade owners, encouraging increased use through multi-player interaction. “We considered many competitive technologies for this specific gaming table application but 3M’s DST 2270DX came out on top for its multi-player support, ability to scale to large sizes and its quick touch response, even with static objects resting on the glass surface or other players touching the screen,” commented Siegfried Dattl, CEO of TAB-Austria.

The touchscreen also has a chemically-strengthened glass substrate, which is sealed to prevent contaminants from penetrating the TAB-Austria table enclosure, protecting the LCD electronics and other internal components. Additional DST features include exceptional optical clarity and light transmission, ease of integration and over 99 percent touch location accuracy. Nearly any object can be used to activate the touch screen including finger, fingernail, pencil, prosthetic device, credit card or almost any type of stylus.
