SVSI nominated for 2009 XChange Solution Provider XCellence award

MADISON, Ala. — Southern Vision Systems Inc., a provider of digital video technology, has announced that it earned a 2009 XChange XCellence award nomination during Everything Channel’s XChange Solution Provider show, held March 8-11 in New Orleans, in the category for “Innovative Technology.” Other nominees in the category were Panasonic and Stratus.

SVSi’s voLANte product line was chosen for its solution for distributing high-definition multimedia over an Ethernet network. With voLANte, multiple channels of content from sources such as live HDMI camera feeds, media players and PC multimedia applications can be streamed over a single Gigabit Ethernet or fiber network to an unlimited number of displays with lossless quality.

voLANte is a feature-rich network-distributed video system that can be fully managed with voLANte Conductor management software. Conductor enables powerful control over multiple content distribution modes that allow live and stored content to be played on demand, by programmed schedule or in an emergency interrupt mode. The voLANte digital video recorder can be connected anywhere on the network to record and play back up to four hours of voLANte AV streams.

Sponsored by Everything Channel Events, the XChange XCellence Awards measure overall business and technology integrator perceptions of vendor products and services during an XChange event. XChange attendees evaluate and score each vendor’s presentation, message and presence throughout the event, and awards are handed out during the XChange XCellence Awards Presentation.
