ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Jon Tomas Salon Spa is among the first in St. Louis to launch the new i-vu eight-inch LCD Wi-Fi interactive screens. I-vu is an interactive digital screen media network that provides interactive LCD screens.
Using software specially developed for the screens by i-vu, Jon Tomas clients can browse various hairstyles and select the best style for their features. In addition, a stylist can highlight new products and services. The screens are located at each styling station.
The screen includes i-vu’s new high-resolution wide screen, representing the latest in ultra-mobile PC technology. Features include a USB port, Wi-Fi, stereo sound and an external keyboard.
“I am very excited to provide my clients with this information,” said Raymond Wanous, owner and master stylist at Jon Tomas Salon. “Clients want to see the latest trends and runway fashions before they make a decision on their new hair style. In addition, by showing news and relevant lifestyle programs, it provides entertainment for the clients while they are sitting in the styling chair.”
I-vu will only be installing these screens in top producing and qualified Redken Hair Salons. These upper end salons cater to young professional clients. The 8-inch screens are designed for individual viewing engagement and consumer data capture opportunities for advertisers.
Unlike other out-of-home media opportunities, i-vu is able to update programming each day and has content partnerships with EMI, E!, BBC Worldwide, CBS and ABC. It now enjoys 120 different content streams.
