SUUnews.com: The Southern Utah University Student Association Executive Council met to discuss the benefits of increasing student fees to get digital signage on campus. Communication Department Chair Jon Smith and SUTV Manager Lee Byers presented information to the council to propose a $1.50 addition to student fees in order to have digital signage throughout the university. The money made from the possible fee increase would be used to pay a part-time student to update the digital signage output every day with new information, Smith said, and any leftover money would go toward buying more monitors.
