ScreenScape picked for on-campus digital sign network at UW-Manitowoc

ScreenScape Networks Inc. has been chosen by the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc as the platform provider for an on-campus network of digital signage displays.
The University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc is one of 13 campuses of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, which are part of the 26 campus UW system.
Content displayed at UWM will include highlights of current and upcoming events, activities, sponsorships, student accomplishments and general university information.
“We have been struggling with a home-grown version of digital signage running MS-PowerPoint on a few TV’s around campus,” said Cristi Beringer, Instructional Technology manager at the university. “We needed something that was more automated and more interactive with live news feeds, but we had a very limited budget. We find ScreenScape easy to use and are very excited about sharing this with other sites including our other campus locations.” ScreenScape’s network architecture allows the university to distribute their core message to various locations on campus, while allowing specialized content and creative control over the screens to various organizations around campus, the company says.
The University of Wisconsin System is one of the largest systems of public higher education in the United States, serving more than 175,000 students each year and employing more than 32,000 faculty and staff statewide.
