TOKYO — Scala, a provider of end-to-end solutions for the digital signage and advertising management markets, announced Alpha Japan has selected Scala’s digital signage platform to power its ASP service named “Primix VISION,” primarily focused at retail customers. Alpha Japan has 150 systems deployed and another 300 scheduled to deploy by mid-2009. When Alpha Japan, founded in 1970 and specializing in total system solutions, decided to add a digital signage solution to its arsenal, there was no doubt that a long-term investment required a careful study of industry providers to satisfy the evolving needs of its fast moving and demanding retail customers. For Alpha Japan, working with high profile retail companies in Japan, it was clear that a solution was required to keep up with the high pace of changes coming from its traditional customer base. In addition, it also needed a solution that came with global support.
The deciding factor for Scala was the ability to deliver dynamic, high-quality content at a low cost required by Alpha Japan’s customers; Scala Designer software together with Scala Content Manager template support proved to be a most unique and decisive tool.
