Samsung given top display honors from VARBusiness

IRVINE, Calif. — Samsung Electronics America Inc., a manufacturer of professional LCD and PDP display products, has been named “Company of the Year” in the Display Technology category in the VARBusiness Annual Report Card (ARC) for a record sixth year in a row.

Samsung led the survey subcategories of Product Innovation, Partnership, Channel and Overall Category for Display Technologies.

“The VARBusiness Annual Report Card Award recipients are selected by their own Solution Provider partners and the ARC has — over the last 23 years — become the defining research on vendor/partner relationships,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, vice president and editorial director, CMP Channel. “We are pleased to congratulate Samsung for its sixth consecutive award. The company continues to demonstrate leadership by providing premium channel programs and superior display technology products and solutions to customers worldwide.”

The VARBusiness ARC Awards recognize outstanding partner programs and superb vendor service in 15 product and service categories, including mobile computers, mainstream business servers, voice networking hardware, data and information management software, and security appliances. Winners are selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers (VARs), solution providers and software developers.

The ARC awards were held at an awards ceremony held August 18 at the CMP Channel’s XChange ’08 Conference in Dallas.
