Panasonic named new official partner of the L.A. Kings

SECAUCUS, N.J. — Panasonic has been announced as the new “Official Partner” for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).   Panasonic’s role as the “Official Partner of the L.A. Kings” is part of a long-term agreement between Panasonic and AEG, the sports and entertainment company that owns the NHL team, STAPLES Center where they play, the L.A. LIVE sports, entertainment and residential district in downtown Los Angeles and numerous other venues around the world.   The agreement includes extensive cross-sponsorship opportunities as well as product integration for Panasonic in AEG-owned properties across North America.    “We are extremely pleased to become a member of the L.A. Kings family. By integrating Panasonic technologies with the excitement of the L.A. Kings, we look forward to providing fans with the ultimate sports-entertainment experience,” said Joseph Taylor, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Panasonic Corp. of North America.    Panasonic technologies were used at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and for all Games since 1988, as an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner. The company also recently announced its partnership in a project to build a Major League Soccer stadium and waterfront complex by 2010 near Philadelphia.
