Mobile operator enhances customer experience with digital signage

MAASTRICHT, Netherlands — Scala, provider of end-to-end solutions for the digital-signage market, has announced that Mobily is using Scala digital signage to boost customer experience.
Mobily is a mobile operator in Saudi Arabia.

According to a news release, Mobily in January 2005 turned to PROAV, a division of United Yousef Naghi and a certified Scala partner, to develop a digital isolution based on Scala’s digital-signage platform. The network has been designed to enhance brand image and provide customers with information about products and services available in Mobily Mobile outlets.

Over the past three years, PROAV has worked as a business partner with Mobily to deploy in 35 flagship outlets, 45 fully branded outlets, 182 mini-outlets and three Mobily megastores.
To date, Mobily has deployed more than 360 Scalap Players throughout their mobile outlet network.
To reduce the perception of long waits for sales associates, Mobily’s digital network is integrated into the Q-Matic customer-queuing system, which is displayed on a customized LED screen . As customers arrive, they interact with a kiosk or counter attendant and then can wait in a central area or browse until they are called. The next customer waiting receives both visual and audio notifications directing him to that counter.
