Minicom unveils fully digital AV extender at ISE

ZURICH, Switzerland — Minicom digital signage, a provider of “last mile” player-to-screen connectivity platforms for the digital signage market, will be displaying for the first time in Europe, its new, fully digital DS Vision HDMI, at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam, taking place at the RAI Centre on Feb. 3-5, 2009.

The DS Vision HDMI not only extends but also distributes real-time, high-definition digital AV from a single player to multiple screens located up to 250 meters/825 feet away.

“This is the perfect solution for digital advertising in retail locations, informative communication in corporate settings or in quick service restaurants where screens strategically repeat content,” said Amir Ginossar, Minicom’s product manager. “Distribution is done by cascaded repeaters that transmit the signal from one screen to the next. And all this is performed over a single, low density, CAT5 cable. This simple, smart solution will help customers save costs and simplify installation.”

A live demonstration of the new HDMI/DVI extender can be seen at Unicol’s booth, a manufacturer of screen mounts.

Content distribution by Minicom digital signage solutions, including the award winning DS Vision 3000 system, can be seen at the following booths:

• Unicol – booth 11K49 • NEC Display Solutions – booth 5O94 • 42 Mediagroup – booth 12F91 • Videlco Europe – booth 10L143 • Hetec – booth 12F92
