Miami University deploys digital display system

Signature Technologies, Inc. announced that it has completed its deployment of the ArrowCast Enterprise Display System at Miami University, recently ranked 26th among top public universities in the nation on the 2009 U.S. News & World Report college rankings list.

“The ArrowCast system allows us to reach our students and faculty quicker and more effectively than ever before, with communal content that allows for easy sharing between users,” said Dave Beitz, Miami University Manager of Network Services. “It is user-friendly, with a Web-based application that makes it easy to get campus updates out quickly with a cohesive look for the university.”

Signature Technologies installed the first set of flat panel LCD displays for this innovative campus communication tool at Miami’s main campus in Oxford, Ohio. Shortly following were the university’s remote campuses, Hamilton, Middletown, and Voice of America Learning Center. In total, the system consists of nearly 30 displays throughout the campuses, as well as a university-sponsored cable channel with hundreds of endpoints, all running from a display server located at the main campus.
