MediaTile announces collaboration with ng Connect Program for enhanced digital signage broadband

LAS VEGAS — MediaTile, a provider of cellular digital signage solutions, has announced its membership in Alcatel-Lucent’s ng Connect Program. The program represents a new, multi-industry initiative which will drive the development of next generation broadband services and applications based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and other ultra-high-bandwidth technologies. Advancements in LTE will help meet the increasing network demands from digital signage interactivity without sacrificing simplicity and reach.
“The Alcatel-Lucent LTE network technology will propel digital signage applications into a whole new realm of experiential and contextual-based relevance,” said MediaTile chief executive Simon Wilson. “With its massive bandwidth, reach and simplicity, LTE will meet user demands for rich media, interactivity, and real-time dynamic content delivery without the limitations inherent in today’s networks.”
MediaTile will utilize the LTE connectivity platform to support fourth-generation networks in its cellular digital signage solutions, further extending its current 3G network support. The new capabilities provided by LTE will also enable MediaTile to add additional cross-platform and dynamic data-driven services into its popular Mediacast content delivery and management system.
