MONTREAL, Canada — Matrox Graphics Inc. has announced the release of Matrox Veos, a new multi-channel digital extension solution. Veos is capable of carrying multiple channels of content along a single copper-based cable with more than 100 meters of extension per component across an unlimited number of iterations, with minimal loss to image quality.
“Matrox Veos is a natural evolution to our existing multi-display digital signage product line,” said Ron Berty, business development manager for Matrox Graphics. “Combining Matrox multi-display expertise with digital extension allows digital signage customers to place displays wherever they are needed, not just in close proximity to one another.”
Veos is comprised of three components that work together to create flexible installations. Each component also adds more than 100 meters of digital extension. A Master unit connects to the computer and digitally extends graphics and display control data more than 100 meters. The Repeater/Replicator unit adds 100 meters of digital extension for each of two outputs and the Display unit has two independent display outputs, a display control output, and also adds 100 meters of digital extension.
Veos includes RS-232 functionality for display control and supports full 1080p HD.
