KioskCom, Digital Signage Show announce keynotes

TRUMBULL, Conn. — KioskCom Self Service Expo and The digital signage Show, a tradeshow and educational conference for customer- and employee-facing technologies — kiosks, digital signage and more — has announced the opening day keynote speakers for its April 16-17, 2008 show in Las Vegas.

On April 16 at 9:00 A.M., Robert Garf, vice president of retail strategies for AMR Research will open the event with a keynote presentation focused on “Delivering Pervasive Interaction with Advanced Selling Technologies.”

Garf’s presentation will address how retailers need to complement their current investments in traditional in-store applications (such as point-of-sale, inventory management and replenishment systems) that help ensure product availability and transaction efficiency with customer- and employee-facing advanced selling technologies, such as digital signage and kiosks. He will address trends and best practices regarding the utilization of advanced technologies such as kiosks, digital signage and displays, and mobile devices to ensure pervasive interaction at each consumer touch point.
On April 17 at 9:00 A.M., the show opens with a look inside Harrah’s Entertainment, the largest gaming organization in the world. Tim Stanley, CIO and senior vice president of Innovation, Gaming, Technology of Harrah’s Entertainment will deliver a keynote presentation focused on engaging customers through digital technologies.
