TRUMBULL, Conn. — The digital signage Show has announced the addition of the fifth annual digital signage Innovator (DIGI) Awards to its 2008 show roster. The collaboration will see the awards touching both coasts. The official partnership was announced at The digital signage Show’s spring expo held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The official award winners will be revealed during the show’s fall event in New York.
The DIGI Awards are jointly produced by NewBay Media’s digital signage Magazine and The digital signage Group. David Keene, executive editor of digital signage Magazine, is the chairman of the DIGI Awards and heads up the DIGI Awards Judges Panel.
“Our show is dedicated to offering an in-depth look at how digital signage can bring increased revenue and improved customer experiences to organizations across a variety of industries, so it served as an ideal venue for the only awards program in our industry honoring excellence and recognizing outstanding resellers, dealers and integrators of digital signage,” said Lawrence Dvorchik, general manager, The digital signage Show and KioskCom Self Service Expo. “We’ve launched The digital signage Show after spending more than a year consulting with attendees, committee members and other industry experts on the needs, interests and preferences of our digital signage audiences so our event fully complements the expertise and integrity represented by the DIGI Awards.”
The DIGI Awards will begin accepting 2008 nominations this June with official winners selected in October. Finalists will be notified and invited to The digital signage Show’s fall expo held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from Oct. 15–16. During the two-day show, winners will be unveiled at a special ceremony and will have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions exploring trends and developments in the digital signage industry.
“The digital signage Show sheds light on each of the integral aspects of our industry, ranging from who’s deploying different systems and the technologies they’re utilizing, to what components go into the process,” said Jill Miller, president of The digital signage Group, co-founder of the DIGI Awards. “Similarly, our awards recognize those responsible for the software, content, fixture and hardware of winning installations because it’s important to understand that there’s a wealth of information that can be unearthed by seeing the work of others in our industry.”
