Keywest Technology installs state-of-art digital signage for Wichita's Hartman Arena

LENEXA, Kan. — Keywest Technology, a digital signage provider offering digital signage media servers, players, software and services, has announced its role in the development, design, installation and testing of a state-of-the-art digital signage system for the newly opened Hartman Arena in Wichita, Kan.

The 6,500-seat arena, which opened its doors in March 2009, makes use of an extensive array of digital signage technology from Keywest Technology, including 17 rack-mounted Keywest Technology MediaZone servers and six smaller shelf-type MediaZone players. The entire system is under the control of Keywest Technology’s InfoZone enterprise-level digital signage control, management and monitoring software.

“The Hartman Arena project illustrates the depth of Keywest Technology’s digital signage expertise,” said company president Nick Nichols. “Working with the facility’s architects before ground was even broken on the new facility, the Keywest Systems Group provided the consultation and design services need to ensure the installation exceeded the expectations of all parties involved.”

During its consultation with the architects, Keywest Systems Group provided valuable insight and design solutions. Ultimately, the group provided a turnkey package of design and installation services. The range of Systems Group tasks ranged from running more than 3.5 miles of coaxial and Cat 5 cable throughout the entire facility to designingand installing custom monitor-mounting brackets and monitor enclosures.

The actual digital signage network encompassed three separate applications, including a six-panel video wall used to welcome patrons and promote events, an extensive array of digital signs strategically located throughout the concourse and miscellaneous digital signs in places as diverse as concession stands and arena offices.

The entire installation is under the control of Keywest Technology’s InfoZone enterprise-level digital signage software, which includes Traffic Manager and Dashboard, two powerful software applications that provide complete playback control and remote monitoring of each individual digital sign in the system.
