InfoComm International has integrated a flat panel video wall into its new technology multimedia center at its Fairfax, Va., headquarters. The installation features the Orion M-PDP screens mounted on RP Visual swing-out mounts, which allow for service in the event of cabling changes or other requirements to access the rear of the displays.
The Orion M-PDP units feature high resolution and clarity, an anti-glare surface and a pixel-to-pixel bezel mullion of less than three millimeters. The entire unit measures 84-inches across.

“We are very pleased with the added functionality and finished look that the Orion video wall brings to InfoComm’s headquarters,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director and CEO of InfoComm International. “It helps us demonstrate InfoComm’s continued commitment to the promotion of integrated AV.”
InfoComm’s installation showcases audio-visual technology integration serving as a mixed use collaboration system for many departments within InfoComm and a demo site for both Orion and RP Visual. InfoComm members will use the room for training, public display and varied hosted events.
Salitek has recently started shipping the new Orion OPM-4240 with increased brightness of 1,500 nits/cd2 and a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, as well as an added HDMI supporting video resolution up to 1080p. Salitek has three demo showcases in the United States; one at its Northbrook, Ill., headquarters and one at RP Visual in Santa Ana, Calif., in addition to the InfoComm Headquarters in Fairfax, Va.
