MINNEAPOLIS — The Health Club Media Network (HCMN) announced that it has chosen Met|Hodder as its digital advertising and content producer resource of record.
It is the newest digital out-of-home client for Met|Hodder, which has been a pioneer in this rapidly emerging medium for more than six years.
Met|Hodder helps develop entertainment and informational content, interstitials, and advertising and promotional campaigns for advertisers on the HCMN network, centered on HCMN’s growing number of digital displays in health clubs across the United States.
“We chose Met|Hodder as our provider because of its long-standing expertise in digital out-of-home media, a genuine grasp of marketing and promotions, and the ability to efficiently execute a wide variety of projects. Met|Hodder truly is a full service partner,” said Lon von Hurwitz, president of sales, marketing and customer relations for HCMN.
“As we move into 2009, our digital platform will be further refined for the benefit of our network of health clubs, their members and our advertisers,” he said. “Met|Hodder plays a key role in that evolution.”
“As the digital out-of-home category expands, its level of sophistication must accelerate to engage and activate audience members by creating compelling experiences that are driven by relevant content,” said Kent Hodder, co-founder, president and executive creative director of the 22-year-old firm. “The Health Club Media Network has an inherent advantage in digital media because it already is the place-based advertising market leader in health clubs. Now it is emerging as a leader in digital out-of-home.”
Met|Hodder’s digital out-of-home expertise spans multiple categories, from grocery stores, pharmacy, general and specialty retail to health care, higher education, gas stations and lodging. Clients have included Meijer, Kroger, Safeway, LevelVision: College, Best Buy, Duane Reade, LodgeNet, PumpTop TV and numerous pilot projects.
In addition, the company serves as the content aggregation and distribution partner for ABC Television, working with critically acclaimed and popular programs such as Lost, Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, America’s Funniest Videos, Good Morning America, Wipeout and ABC News Now.
