Gas Station TV swipes PRN's head of corporate development

Gas Station TV (GSTV) has announced the addition of Charles Billups as its new senior vice president for corporate development.

Billups joins the GSTV away-from-home television network after 10 years with Premier Retail Networks (PRN). He has a proven track record in expanding business relationships, increasing sales and penetrating new markets, according to a release from GSTV.

With the continued expansion of GSTV and the digital TV market, Billups will leverage his expertise in client business development, market segmentation and positioning, financial models, new platform creation and media advertising sales to help GSTV maintain its current market leadership position.

“Billups’s expertise in retail platform expansion will be instrumental as we continue to grow our TV network and help marketers battle the deficiencies of on-the-couch TV,” GSTV CEO David Leider said.

Billups will be helping lead the company’s corporate client relationships as well as handle partner negotiations. Furthermore, he will oversee sales efforts for the GSTV Bentonville office as well as key accounts in the Midwest.

“The definition of television has evolved,” Billups said. “Now, there are more effective options, like GSTV, that address the inherent issues facing traditional, at-home TV, such as DVR penetration and audience fragmentation. Simply, GSTV is a highly effective branding and customer experience tool for retail partners and a legitimate television platform being included in our clients’ TV mix just like any traditional broadcast or cable network.”

Billups holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
