Circulating rumors about the cancellation of the digital signage Expo East show were confirmed today by Chris Gibbs, president of Exponation, which organizes the show. The show debuted last year in Philadelphia and was slated to be held in Washington, D.C., in September 2009.
Gibbs told digital signage Today: “digital signage Expo East, scheduled for Washington, D.C., in September has been cancelled. However, industry feedback has indicated the need for a completely new kind of event to supplement the annual digital signage Expo in Las Vegas. We will announce these plans for 2010 shortly.”
