Highlighting anti-reflective surfaces, video wall applications and more, LG Electronics says it’s illustrating how simple it is to incorporate LG’s digital signage solutions into any environment this week at digital signage Expo 2010.
Starting with a new solid state media player, the NC-1000 expands LG’s digital signage offerings by introducing a hardware solution that is designed to easily display a wide variety of content including images, movies, audio and other file types – all in full HD. The NC-1000 media player comes in a small format footprint and is capable of driving any LG commercial display. Built on a solid-state, open-architecture platform, the NC-1000 is also compatible with many popular software providers’ applications.
For high ambient light environments, LG’s “Shine Out” displays take sunlight and use it as an additional light source to actually increase the effective brightness of the display. With an Anti-Reflection Surface Treatment, “wash out” is minimized, resulting in content that is more easily viewable.
Using four 60-inch class plasmas in a 2 x 2 matrix, LG has created a virtually seamless 120-inch HD display that produces stunning image quality. The display is versatile enough for a hospitality setting, shopping mall, exhibit, or public transportation venue for information sharing, advertising or broadcasting the latest sports game and displays in full 1080p.
For integrators looking for more energy efficient digital signage monitors, LG now has five new models that earn ENERGY STAR® 5.0 certification without a sacrifice in picture quality or design.
“The need for compelling digital signage solutions across a variety of applications is vast,” said Jeff Dowell, vice president, digital signage, LG Electronics USA Business Solutions. “LG’s monitors and media players bring simplicity back into the equation by adding value beyond just the display itself. This makes it easier than ever before to implement digital signage in any vertical market for a multi-dimensional and engaging approach to information sharing.”
LG will be featuring large and mid-sized monitors and projectors at booth 1205.
