DSE: Hiperwall teams with Ingram Micro to deliver video wall systems

Hiperwall Inc., provider of video wall technology, has announced a new U.S. distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc.

Under the new agreement, Hiperwall’s solution will be made available to Ingram Micro’s U.S. distribution channel of IT solution providers, managed service providers and value-added resellers. The Hiperwall software eliminates the need for complex, expensive hardware, making large scale visualization solutions available to a much broader range of companies and government agencies.

“Hiperwall’s innovative video wall system enables our channel partners to deliver large scale display solutions to a broad range of users that previously considered video walls to be out of reach and out of budget,” said Kevin Prewett, vice president, vendor management for the Ingram Micro digital signage Division. “We are pleased to be named Hiperwall’s exclusive U.S. distribution partner and look forward to growing their reseller base and enabling our mutual channel partners to more effectively market, sell and support Hiperwall’s technology.”

The Hiperwall software solution is completely hardware agnostic and requires only ordinary PCs, ordinary monitors and an ordinary Ethernet network. The system displays still images up to 1GB resolution or larger, HD videos, live HD video streams and PC applications, turning a bank of monitors into an ultra-high resolution video wall. Multiple feeds can be displayed on the wall simultaneously, and users can reposition and resize each feed as easily as moving and resizing windows on a PC desktop. Each feed can be scaled up for viewing on several monitors or the entire wall instantly, depending upon the user’s discretion.

The Hiperwall System will be demonstrated in the Ingram Micro booth #2013 at the digital signage Expo in Las Vegas this week.
