Digital Signage Today publishes exclusive industry survey

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — digital signage Today has published “digital signage: The State of the Art and the Promise for the Next Five Years,” an exclusive 77-page guide.

Sponsored by Scala, the guide spotlights digital signage as it is used in nine major verticals. It also includes the results of the “State of the digital signage Industry Survey,” in which 600 executives were polled about how they use digital signage, and how they plan to in the future.

Some of the insights revealed in the survey:

• Most popular display technologies (LCD, plasma, projection) • How screens are being used • How many deployers sell on-screen ad space • How much content creation is outsourced • Which industries will benefit most from digital signage

“The buzz surrounding digital signage is palpable, and big things are in store for the coming months,” said James Bickers, senior editor and guide author. “The opinions and data we’ve collected make for an excellent primer for those new to the topic, and fodder for discussion among those who are already using the technology.”

The guide, which includes interviews with nine industry leaders on the future of digital signage, is available as a free download from digital signage Today.
