Cowboys, Yankees stadiums introduce new apps for self-service kiosks, digital signage

The Boston Globe: Sporting events of the near future will rely on self-service technology to enhance the game experience. Kiosks will provide ticket upgrades and traffic updates outside the stadium. On-demand replays and concession stand menus will appear on cell phones, and concession stand transactions will just require a card swipe. Cisco has deals in place with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees to provide applications to their new stadiums. The new Yankee Stadium will have 1,100 high-definition monitors, including the main scoreboard, which stands 59 feet high and 101 feet wide.
