Chelsea Piers expands RidgeLogic digital signage software use

BUFFALO, N.Y. — RidgeLogic Development, a developer of digital signage software for single locations, announced that Chelsea Piers, a 28-acre sports and entertainment complex featuring state-of-the-art facilities for 30 different sports, located between piers 59 and 62 on the Hudson River in New York City, has expanded its usage of SceneStudio digital signage

In the spring of 2008 Chelsea Piers deployed SceneStudio at its Golf Club and based on the positive reaction of members, guests and staff recently expanded usage to the Ice Skating Rink and Health Club and plan to add it to the Field House soon. Each venue displays class schedules and the location of private parties to help people easily find their way. A portion of the display is used to advertise venue-specific services and to enhance the brand.

“Chelsea Piers uses a custom script to update the class and event schedules automatically throughout the day,” said Jack Boyczuk, president of RidgeLogic. “It’s a great example of how our SceneStudio application can perform enterprise-class functions while maintaining a price point that make sense for a single display deployment.”

“Scene Studio digital signage, along with our other technological aspects, is an important part of making our communications clear and accessible to all our guests and members,” said Ferdinand Lleshanaku, Chelsea Piers’ director of technology. “It also helps us meet our mission of providing state-of-the-art facilities along with cutting-edge programming and a commitment to being the best amateur sports and entertainment complex in the country.”
