CETW announces new keynote address: Driving Customer Engagement through Digital Experiences

According to organizers of the twice-yearly Customer Engagement Technology World show, B. Joseph Pine II identified a seismic shift in the business world in his work “The Experience Economy”: To set yourself apart from your competition, you need to stage experiences — memorable events that engage people in inherently personal ways. But the physical world, bounded as it is by matter, space, and time, offers limited opportunities for customer engagement, while digital technology offers infinite possibility — you can create anything you want.

In his keynote, just announced for this year’s Customer Engagement Technology World event, Pine will take the audience out onto the digital frontier, showing audience members the way to unknown worlds that create value for customers with offerings that fuse the real and the virtual.

Accordidng to CETW, Joe Pine is an internationally-acclaimed author, speaker and management advisor to Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial startups alike. He is co-founder of Strategic Horizons LLP, a thinking studio dedicated to helping businesses conceive and design new ways of adding value to their economic offerings. Pine has co-authored “The Experience Economy: Work Is Theatre & Every Business a Stage,” “Authenticity: What Consumers Really Want,” and most recently, “Infinite Possibility: Creating Customer Value on the Digital Frontier.”

Customer Engagement Technology World takes place Nov. 9-10 at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
