Bomb-proof digital signage to help clean London

Financial Times: A London start-up has clinched a deal to put 100 pairs of video screens broadcasting an “outdoor financial channel” onto the streets of Central London. The screens will be housed on the sides of bomb-proof recycling units for newspapers, cans and bottles, located near large employers, busy junctions and Tube stations. Media Metrica has agreed to a 15-year contract with the City of London Corporation to deploy the units free of charge in return for the right to operate the on-street information channel, which will be called Renew.
