PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Black Box Corp., a provider of voice communications, data infrastructure, and product solutions, has announced that its 2008 Black Box Catalog won a Gold award at the 26th Annual Conference for Catalog and Multichannel Merchants (ACCM) held in New Orleans, La. This marks the 14th consecutive year that the company has won top honors in the Computer and High-Tech Equipment category. The 620-page catalog, nicknamed the Big Book, showcases the company’s line of more than 118,000 communications, networking, and infrastructure products, including cabling, cabinets and racks, digital signage and multimedia, KVM switches, network optimization, and power monitoring. The Gold award, conferred as a “tribute to excellence,” is based on a points system given by a panel of experts through a series of three judging sessions. Evaluations are based on creative, merchandising, copy, customer service/navigation, and marketing execution. “It’s an honor to be recognized by our peers,” said Julie Lyda, general manager for Black Box. “Our goal is to present our products and services in an informative and educational way and to make it easy for customers to find exactly what they need.”
The ACCM is hosted by Multichannel Merchant magazine and by the Direct Marketing Association. It is the world’s largest conference for catalog, Internet, and multichannel marketing professionals. A complete list of winners is available here.
