AccelerOptics honored with DIGI Award for XL-A-Vision screen

NEW YORK — AccelerOptics, a technology company based in Carthage, Mo., has been awarded a prestigious DIGI Award for its innovative XL-A-Vision Capture display screen.
The DIGI Awards honor outstanding innovation in digital display technology and are widely recognized as the industry’s preeminent awards program recognizing the most successful and innovative new products. AccelerOptics received the award during a special ceremony at The digital signage Show held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City in October.
“We are honored by this industry acknowledgement of the advantages offered by our displays,” said Paul Eckels, president of AccelerOptics. “Our revolutionary extra-large screens produce unparalleled brightness and contrast in brightly lit environments at an affordable cost to the customer.”
AccelerOptics manufactures and sells the XL-A-Vision screens which enable ordinary front projectors to create plasma-like displays of 100 inches and larger. Using a unique micro-optic surface structure, AccelerOptics has developed a high-gain screen that overcomes problems normally associated with projection displays. Screen brightness and image contrast are consistently maintained across the entire designed viewing angle, without the center “hot spots” that exist in competing products.
“Our projection screens not only cure the traditional concerns of ambient lighting but also overcome the physical weight and pricing issues of large electronic devices thereby offering the commercial digital signage industry a viable large-area display alternative,” said Jenny Brust, business development manager for AccelerOptics.
