ST. PAUL, Minn. — 3M digital signage, a worldwide provider of digital signage network solutions, recently partnered with OpenEye, a digital signage agency, Launch Dynamic Media and Fitch to develop a digital wayfinding application for the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C.
OpenEye received a DIGI award for the Smithsonian Project under the category of Interactive/Digital Wayfinding. The award was presented during the digital signage Show at New York’s Javits Center this week.
This wayfinding concept, developed by OpenEye and Launch Dynamic Media, engages the visitors through strategically placed digital displays. Each display spins custom digital Flash content, developed by Launch Dynamic Media, which is designed to educate, inform, and direct the visitor to various activities and exhibits within the museum.
